Trash to Treasure- Hair Bows

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I wanted to share a true Trash to Treasure project. I am participating in Kimm's Reinvented- Trash to Treasure Tuesday!!

My daughter received as a birthday gift last week a Snow White dress up outfit. It came from her BFF and the outfit has been worn/loved lots. In the box also comes a pair of high heels. Less then 24hrs from receiving the gift the shoes were broken. My daughter can run in high heels like they are tennis shoes (not a talent she got from me because I don't wear high heels at 6' tall.)

I was literally taking them to the trash can (without her looking because that would be bad news) when I thought "hey I bet the most expensive part of these shoes is the ribbon and picture on the front. I will make these into hair bows!!"

Before:

2 barrettes and one hot glue gun later I have matching hair bows for my daughter...

After:

I think she likes them!! :)

That is so awesome! Much less trauma! I remember having a pair of play shoes like that when I was little. They were lime green plastic clogs. Anyway, I stepped in dog poop and had to throw them in the garbage. I am 37 and I still remember the heartbreak!
