Reinvented Projects - I am back!

Hello, ladies!

I finally got my groove back. This weekend I was a busy bee and enjoyed every minute!! Vivienne told me I needed to breath. I think she was right!! My trip to see my grandma wore me out more then I expected it too!! My grandma, Mamma II, is an amazing woman and at almost 75yr old she still has the energy of a 40yr old, and honestly her energy WORE ME OUT!! My grandma has taught me how to sew, she was green before it was cool, and she sees the beauty in everything. She is one of a kind and I am so lucky she is my grandma!!

Now that I have my groove back I have two projects to share....

This post is accessorizing me new picture window.

My friend Heather, told me she saw on some blogs silver platters with chalkboard paint. I found the blog she was referring too and got busy. I bought a silver platter at an antique store (No love loss because it is silver plated)
The only problem was the engraving!! Note to other put on a primer and sand, sand, sand!!
I think I put 14 coats of chalkboard paint on this bad boy! This project took way to long for as simple as it was in theory. Then I borrowed some silver polish from my friend, E, thanks girl for always having my back!!

Finished product! Cost me $4

Second Project:
This project I am super proud of....A 3D Art Frame

Supplies: Frame, Styrofoam Apple or Pear, and Scrapbook paper

Cut the apple in half.. This apple took some major cutting tools to cut, and I am just lucky I didn't cut my finger.

Remove glass and stuff in the back and cut out come cardboard the size of the frame. Attach scrapbook paper to the cardboard with mod podge and then glue the apple half to the cardboard.

Here is the finished product. I paid 78 cents for the scrapbook paper and everything else I had!!

Here are the finished products accessorizing my picture window. I love it and it cost me $4.78 total. Here is my shout out to Kimm at Reinvented!

Head on over to see Kimm and to see some other great projects!! Have a wonderful day!

I've wondered if those embossed trays would work as chalkboards. Yours turned out beautiful! And I love, love, love your framed apple!

VERY nice and honey, toss the silver polish. Toothpaste...not the gel kind, the PASTE kind!
